Vimeo Chat turns a whole Vimeo library into something you can ask questions of — RAG over the transcripts, with every answer cited back to the exact video and timestamp.

Problem

A large video archive is a black box. The knowledge is in there, but the only way to find it is to remember which video said what and scrub to the right minute. Search over titles doesn't help when the answer lives 14 minutes into talk #37.

Solution

Vimeo Chat indexes the transcripts across your library and answers questions in plain language, linking each claim back to the source video at the timestamp it came from. You get the answer and the receipt.

How it works

Transcripts are chunked and embedded; a question retrieves the relevant passages and an LLM answers over them, returning citations that deep-link into the video at the right moment.

Why now

Video is where more and more institutional knowledge now lives, and it's the least searchable medium there is. Making an archive conversational — with citations you can trust — unlocks everything already sitting in it.
